Thomas Cook has announced an increased number of flights from Aberdeen Airport in a bid to make up for a shortfall brought about by the collapse of Flyglobespan.
Additional Thomas Cook flights will leave throughout the summer for popular Turkey holiday destinations Dalaman and Antalya, as well as to Ibiza, Palma, Majorca and Reus.
Aberdeen Airport remain confident that other airlines will step forward to offer flights to other major destinations previously served by Flyglobespan, such as Tenerife. It recently emerged that Flyglobespan had been owed £35million by their credit card payment provider, E-Clear, at the time that they went under.
