Art deco funky hotel in Ibiza

With a cool turquoise-on-white façade hiding the decadent thump of a hard-partying heart, it’s easy to see why this exclusive, funky, party hotel has quickly become one of the island’s true must-dos. During the day, guests lounge next to the sapphire pool, sipping icy cocktails or enjoying the glorious Mediterranean-Asian fusion menu created by chef Luciano Scardaccione.

The luxury hotel restaurant is open to the public so his trademark dishes such as foie gras and tapenade salad with passion fruit coulis or gourmet fish and chips can be experienced by one and all. New for this year is the Es Vive spa that will expand the cocoon of indulgence to include relaxing massages and beauty treatments to make post-party skin fresh as a daisy.

It’s at night the real Es Vive comes out to play however, in the Smirnoff Experience Bar – three intimate rooms with undeniable glamour. Top promoters including Kidology, Lip Gloss, Feeling Music, Fierce Angels, Togetherness, Plushdafunk and resident DJ Ben Santiago provide the musical accompaniment to saucy frolics and glitzy capers till the very wee hours of the morning.

If the party gets too much you can always take a disco nap in one of the 55 airy rooms – each uniquely furnished. Jason has sourced exquisite wallpapers and antique lamps, all different, making each room a personal Shangri-La. But let’s be honest: who wants to go to bed when there’s so much fun happening?
